Track 22: Christmas

What is Christmas?
Define Christmas.
Put Christmas down in words.

Is Christmas a holiday?
Or is Christmas a celebration?
Is it a second?
A minute?
Or even an hour?
Could it be just a day?
Maybe a month?
Or just a season?
May it be the birthday of the saviour?
Or just a time of recognition?

What's there on Christmas?
Christmas Tree?
Sun or snow?
Lights and Sound?
Decorations and Ornaments?
Decked halls of holly?
Snowmen or rain deers?
Carols and dances?
Or just Santa and his sleigh?

What does Christmas mean?
Waiting for the clock to strike twelve?
Alone or with family?
With friends or a crowd?
To be with company?
Or by yourself?
To be jolly and merry?
Or to be calm and at peace?

Does Christmas mean giving?
Sharing and caring?
Gifts and presents?
Toys and stuff?
A sign of appreciation?
Or just in the moment?
Just out of generosity?
Or to see the smile on happy faces?
A new experience?
Or reliving the days?

To some, Christmas means celebration.
Going out and having fun.
Good food and lots of drinks.
Barbecues and buffets.
Parties and discos.
Blinding lights and booming music.
Packed rooms and crowded floors.
Shouting and singing.
Full of dancing.

To others, Christmas means company.
Just to be with the family.
Or even some friends.
Sitting by the fire side.
By the warmth.
By the glow.
Hot chocolate and turkey.
Chatting and laughing.
Sharing and stories.
Or in front of the TV.
Pizza and coke.
Corn chips or nachos.
CD's and tapes.
Series or movies.
Falling asleep.
Or not sleeping at all.

Some may think Christmas is freedom.
Snowball fights and snow angels.
Playing with toys.
Watching cartoons.
Sleeping in or staying up late.
Chocolate, candy and sweets galore.
A break from work.
A break from school.
Going out or staying at home.
No care in the world.
Nothing to worry about.

Many think Christmas is love.
Dinner dates and meet up lunches.
Hugs and kisses.
Mistletoe.
Holding hands.
Eyes to eyes.
Or just being in each others arms.
Walking out in the snowy streets.
Or covering up in blankets.
Loving and being loved.

What is Christmas?
Christmas has...
No limits, boundaries.
No rights, no wrongs.
Christmas...
No matter...
Who you are,
Where you are,
What you do,
How you do it,
Christmas is just Christmas.

This post sounds kinda cliche.
But, hey! I've been enlightened.
